Who am I?

Hi. My name is Dan Adams. I am a Graphic and Motion Designer located in Vancouver, BC Canada.

My bread and butter these days is website design and development. The capabilities that are available today for people to display, and develop content for distribution to the internet are so wonderful and exciting, there's really no excuse anymore for an ugly website.

Film and television have been so key in my life, as entertainment as well as professionally, and I have found huge pleasure in working on the production and post-production of films ranging from indie and non-profit shorts, to large Hollywood productions. Each project has it's own style, and it's benefits as well as pitfalls. I prefer the flexibility of working on short films from independent studios as it allows me the opportunity to have more influence over the finished product.

I design better websites than The Empire builds Deathstars!

If you are a small business, a big business or a friend in need, I have a solution for you. Every project has a beautiful and elegant solution. I will do my best to build a website you are both happy and excited about.

Whether you need to sell a beautiful product online, you want to open a store selling discount manure (Dr. Jones?), or you need to establish your presence as the one and only "Dark Lord" online, we can work together to create a beautiful (or menacing, if that's your thing) presence to represent you and your interests.

I make your logo sexier.

You have a logo, or at least a start. I can help you finish it, perfect it, or enhance it with animation and motion graphics.

A logo should be simple, straightforward and represent your brand without cheesy and flashy crap around it. As a desgner, I can help you find that perfect balance between the communication a logo needs to convey, and the grungy or edgy style you crave.

Let me enhance your video or film.

My experience working on a variety of different film projects gives me unique perspective on many aspects of the process from "social-life robbing" on-set production to "nerd in the dark studio" post-production.

I love visual effects. The best part of my job is when nobody even knows I was there. When I show my work to a friend or family, and they can't figure out what I did, I did it right.

I think one of the most exciting parts of my job is motion graphics, and creating exciting visuals to accompany a logo, a design, or an idea with beautiful moving art. Combining graphic design and animation, I can paint the pixels in any way I feel, and frees me from the confines of always making realistic visual effects.

It's not Magic..

I understand there are thousands of qualified, talented individuals to consider when choosing a web designer, motion graphics artist or film editor, but not all designers and developers are created equal.

It's important to work with a designer who is capable of reflecting your style and vision. Each designer infuses his or her own personality into the work they do. Matching the right designer with the right client can be dfficult, but worthwhile if the results reflect the partnership between designer and client.

So, why not get in touch?

Send me an email, and let's get together about your next project.

I would love to discuss how my skills can bring value to your project.
